My beloved family

1. The inheritance
Barbara Herzog manages the family-owned paper factory Maibach, where both her mother and her brother work and her daughter Ina is earmarked to join them sometime in the future. Barbara has always been able to rely on the support of her family. This changes when Marius Perlinger arrives on the scene, who has inherited the shares of an inactive partner. To get his hands on his money, Marius suggests selling the factory, which is in a precarious financial situation. When Barbara discovers that her family is in agreement with the plans, her whole world falls apart. But Marius has a few more surprises in store...

2. Time for a change

Of all people, Barbara's adversary, Marius Perlinger, helps her to avert the sale of the Maibach paper factory. All of a sudden, Marius appears to be willing to put his plans on ice. In return, he receives an abandoned inn that belongs to the company. This brings Barbara and Marius closer, which has a harmonising effect on the strained and tense family life of the Herzogs. But before the two get the chance to cement their amorous relationship, Barbara's globetrotting husband Wolfgang appears out of the blue…

Popular German actress Uschi Glas "Villa at the lake" shines in this briskly staged family series, perfectly cast in the role of an energetic company director, who excels when faced with a difficult situation. The series' locations are Bavaria and South Tyrol.
