"Men from K3" becomes "K3 - CID Hamburg": The successful TV classic is being continued with a new team. Developing the characters of the four new inspectors considerable importance has been placed on contrasting personalities and humorous and amusing dynamics between the different figures. The result is four inspectors with personalities that differ quite a lot!

Chief detective superintendent Matthias Sander works for the CID all his life. As head of the group he convinces with his competence and is renowned for his brilliant interrogations. His calm tenacity and his sincere respect for men's strengths and weaknesses lead the team to ways which would otherwise not have opened up on first sight. Together with detective superintendent Murat Alpay he makes up a two-men-team. The young and ambitious family man is always up-to-date as for the most recent investigation methods. He lacks, however, experience in his daily work and is smiled at by his colleagues for his boyish zeal. Especially impatient chief superintendent Paul Reisinger often reacts annoyed to Alpay's theories. Reisinger's behaviour is only determined by his emotions. Strategies and pragmatism are unknown to him. He looks for conflicts in order to let off steam and instead of loafing about, he prefers to kick down doors immediately. His team partner chief superintendent Oliver Noll is totally contrary to Paul Reisinger. Oliver Noll, a quiet and introverted man, seems surrounded by a little secret. His elegant clothes and his manners suggest a well-off family background. But Noll does not talk about that. He is clever and acts in a considered way. His conversation partners still think themselves in a trivial small talk whereas Noll already leads the conversation imperceptibly and all of a sudden confronts them with their inconsistent statements.
