Stein's Hotel
|
|
Katja Stein leads a happy life: she lives with her husband Oliver in a picturesque area of Brandenburg in a country hotel, which they run together. Oliver is a chef and fulfilled his dreams with the hotel. Katja is a teacher and is preparing to begin her new job at the Heinrich-Heine-School. Suddenly, everything goes haywire: Her school director is a former university friend of hers, as well as being her ex-lover, who is anything but pleased to see her here. It looks like becoming an even bigger problem, as his girlfriend, Victoria, sees Katja as a rival. As Katja comes home exhausted after her first day at the school, she discovers that Oliver is two-timing her - with her sister Karola, to make matters worse. Katja's life crumbles apart. After collapsing, she is admitted to hospital, where she is told that she was pregnant but has lost the child. She leaves Oliver, but he repeatedly attempts to change her mind. When he realises that he has lost her, he leaves the hotel and moves to France, confronting Katja with new problems: what will happen to the hotel? Perhaps Stefan Hagen, the owner of a nearby stable, has a solution?
