All of a sudden, attorney Gregor Ehrenberg quits his flourishing solicitor's of-fice that he has established with his wife Christina. Being in his fifties, he real-ises that life cannot go on like it does. Gregor wants to get back to his roots, back to what induced him to study laws. To look after people without any com-promise, to help them to get their right, to give them his support without having to show consideration for the unwritten rules of all those who are successful - people he appeared for so far.
He thus starts working in a former wine shop in St. Pauli, Hamburg's red light district, where he encounters his cases more or less in the street. He stands up for those people who hardly believe in themselves any more.
