Vacation Getaway: Marrakech

Blurb:

A change of scenery that could become a change for life

Logline:

Kurt hit the jackpot and became a lotto millionaire the day his wife left him. To cheer him up, his mother takes him on vacation to Morocco, where she tells him what he should do with his money. But Kurt has other plans, especially after he falls in love with the pretty cook, Mona.

Synopsis:

The exotic flair of the Land of a 1001 Nights, the bustle of the bazaars, a stay in a luxurious villa with servants, butler and cook – if this isn't enough to put a little fun back into Kurt's life, nothing will. Kurt, a simple shoemaker, is probably the world's unhappiest lotto millionaire: he won his millions the day his adored but unfaithful wife left him. Now his mother is trying to cheer him up by taking him, his brother Ottfried and Ottfried's wife with her on vacation to a luxury villa in Morocco.
But mother has something else up her sleeve: envisioning her sons in suits and ties, she wants Kurt to invest his money in expanding the family shoe business. In her mind, it's practically a done deal. Kurt's brother and his wife have plans of their own, however: a beachside café! They just have to figure out which beach... While everyone is hatching plans, Kurt begins to fall for Mona, the villa's resident cook. And she, too, is developing a soft spot for the rough-hewn yet sensitive shoemaker, whose millions matter less to her than his kind heart. As the stay at the fairy-tale villa comes to an end, Kurt surprises everyone when he announces what he will do with his life and his millions. It's not what they expect, but it could very well be the tale of the 1002nd night...
