In love with the Animals
|
|
The protagonists of this 16 episode-production are "In Love with the Animals". They let animals and nature be part of their lives or even devote their professional occupation to them, because they have a passion, an interest, like adventures, or simply because they care. For the first time, these stories are presented to a television audience in 16 30-minute episodes. The show reveals separate stories with each episode, and therefore covers a variety of Australian people and their relationship with local animals and their habitats. The production team grasped close shots of animals and pictures of nature that are very impressive and rarely captured on film. They dived in the Great Barrier and Ningaloo Reef where they filmed water snakes, whales and sharks. They also travelled up to Uluru and watched koala bears, wallabies, kangaroos, bilbies and many birds and insects on their way. In one episode, a group of housewives reports from their founded Wildlife Rescue Association. In another one, an Aborigine was accompanied on his trip through a primeval forest. The protagonists' lives - whether they are natives or immigrants - are moving. "In Love with the Animals" distinguishes from many other documentations because it includes personal fates, adventure and entertainment.
